This battery-powered Ice Guardian Sign / Ice Detector LED Sign replaces older mechanical ice alert signs, which require manual intervention.
It is a solid state device with no moving parts and LEDs to provide a high visual impact. The sign incorporates an ISO standard ice crystal warning logo with ultra-bright blue LEDs located at the 6 points. The LEDs flash when the air temperature approaches freezing.
The sign can be fixed to a pole or post. The sign includes batteries that last up to 3 years before replacing. NB. This item is not instock and delivery is 7 to 10 days
Applications
The sign is perfect for organisations who want to minimise the risk of ice-related accidents, and can be used for pedestrians and drivers. The Ice Guardian Sign / Ice Detector LED Sign is generally used for off-highway applications including: quarry sites, campuses, car parks, ports etc.
How It Works
The sign incorporates a circuit board that is powered directly from 6 AA alkaline batteries in a rear compartment protected with a weather-proof bung. A sensor on the circuit board triggers a flashing sequence when the temperature reaches 3 degrees Celsius.
The LEDs flash for 30 mS every 2 seconds and power is minimised by switching the PIC chip to sleep mode when not required. The combined effect of these is to give the sign a two to three year life per set of batteries. Batteries can be changed easily when required.

On all of our safety signs, we offer the fastest guaranteed delivery option in the UK at our checkout. If you order before 3pm, your signs will be delivered by our courier before 9am or before 10am any weekday except Sunday. The standard delivery time is the next day, but we cannot give you a specific time.

Delivery Schedule
Orders in mainland UK placed before 3.00pm from Monday to Friday will be delivered the following working day.
Deliveries to N.Ireland will be between 2-3 days.
