In a structure with multiple occupancy, many people frequently share a single area. These people must be able to leave the area swiftly and safely in the case of an emergency. This Multiple Occupancy Sign shows how to keep escape routes clear for speedy evacuation. When it comes to evacuation, houses with many occupants have quite strict rules. This notice includes pictorials of goods that are not permitted in the stairway, as well as clear advice for multiple occupancy on how to avoid impeding escape routes that could hinder evacuation. The landlord/managing agent has a responsibility to ensure that all exit routes remain open and that items do not obstruct personnel or slow them down during an emergency evacuation. This clear sign for escape routes is available in a range of sizes and materials, as seen below. Whenever applicable, our products are designed to meet UK government laws or best practice. ISO7010 is met by this escape route sign. In October 2023 the fire safety regulations were updated to ensure landlords provide information on the risks of fire. Responsible landlords should get a copy and comply with the latest regulations.
